Md. Shamim Ahamed FCA, Principal & CEO of Ahamed Shamim & Co. (ASC), Chartered Accountants has 28 years plus proven track record with 18 years plus experience of post qualification services in Manufacturing and Financial Institutions as well as practice as a Professional Accountant. He has obtained license from Custom, Excise and VAT Training Academy bearing VAT Consultant Number: C202133. He is also a member of Dhaka Taxes Bar Association bearing membership Number: S03390. He has also worked with Industrial and Infrastructure Development Finance Company (IIDFC) Limited; and National Housing Finance and Investments Limited (NHFIL), two leading financial institutions in Bangladesh, about 13 years in the position of CFO, Company Secretary, and Head of HR & Administration. He was also Chief Anti Money Laundering Compliance Officer (CAMLCO) for several years. He was also Company Secretary in the two subsidiaries of IIDFC Limited and his last position in IIDFC was Executive Vice President. By virtue of his position, he had to work closely on Finance, Accounts, Income Tax, VAT and Company Affairs during his long tenure. He was also Member Secretary of PF & Gratuity Fund and was looking after Financial Statements of those funds. Moreover, in his leisure, he was involved with professional learning through international and in-land training; and advisory services to keep him updated on Income Tax and VAT related regulations.
